17. AETNA Enrollment has been extended until further notice **03/11 **Updated**AETNA Enrollment has been extended until further notice. (This is Subject to Change) Numerous people have expressed an interest in switching to the Aetna Medicare Advantage Plan that covers their area. Given the delay in implementation of the new MAP plan, the city has also extended the opportunity to enroll in Aetna. You should contact Aetna at CONYmailbox@aetna.com (or 1-800-307-4830) for information regarding the plan. If you decide to switch to Aetna, you must use your “Once in a Lifetime” if it is outside the open enrollment period. Following are 3 things you must do: - Submit enrollment information to Aetna per their instructions - Submit a Benefits Change Form to OLR as per instructions found on the health-benefits-application - Submit an Opt-Out form NOTE: If you have a dependent(s) not on Medicare, be advised this plan comes with a high premium for them.

16. What does the MLC Group Prescription Drug Letter mean for me?"In simple terms, what does the 1/21/22 MLC letter regarding the "Group Prescription Drug Program Options for Medicare Retirees" mean?" Here's our summary answer: We know there is a lot of confusion with the letter you may have received about prescription coverage. This may help: 1 - You need to know who currently provides your plan... Ask! 2 - If you currently get part D drug coverage through your union or through your spouses union or employer there is NO CHANGE to your coverage whether you go into MAP or not UNLESS that coverage is part of another advantage plan. In that case ONLY, if you go into the MAP you have to take the Emblem coverage. 3 - If you currently get your coverage through the Emblem rider then that coverage stays the same whether you go into the MAP or not. BUT the price will be $125. instead of $150. 4 - If your current union coverage has a maximum benefit, you can ADD the Emblem Drug Rider as a supplement if your drug expenses are high, BUT PLEASE NOTE: If you are considering that you must contact your current drug plan to find out what that maximum is, then call Emblem at 212-501-4444 and have them explain how the additional coverage may help you. Then you can make an informed decision. 5 - Keep in mind that you cannot maintain any private, INDIVIDUAL Part D plan OR part D plan through a different Advantage Plan if you decide to go into the MAP, in that case you MUST buy the Emblem plan if you want Part D coverage. Since there are so many variations on prescription drug coverage, and so many questions, we cannot address all of them accurately. You need to call OLR, your union, drug plan and Medicare regarding Part D questions, which mostly fall outside of the scope of our lawsuit.
